Title: The Boca Raton Resort & Club (Resort Course) - Boca Raton, FL

The Boca Raton Resort & Club is located in the heart of downtown Boca Raton, Florida along the banks of the intracoastal waterway.  The Resort golf course was completely redesigned by Kipp Schulties in the summer of 1997 which restored its place amongst leading luxury golf resorts of the world.

After a major reconstruction of the 85-year-old William Flynn design, the new Boca Raton Resort & Club's new Resort Course boasts a barrel of 18-hole fun packed into a tight 92 acres. Because parts of the venerable old club had been sold off for various developments over the years, the course had lost much of its distinctiveness. Gene Bates, hired in 1997 to redesign the track and restore its status as a 5-star facility, retained a then independent Kipp Schulties (a former employee of the Couples/Bates organization) to provide the vision for the new and improved layout that is owned by H. Wayne Huizenga.  The result: a 6,200-yard, par-71 track featuring several new lakes, creation of what is now the highest point in Boca Raton, visually intimidating California style sand bunkering, several thousand feet of recirculating streams and waterfalls as well as more than 700 mature trees.
