The golf course at Harmony Mountain Estate was designed and constructed by Kipp Schulties as a matrix type golf course that is played in two directions. The course, built during the winter of 2002, is for the sole use by the owner of the estate along with invited guests that stay at the lodge.

Harmony Mountain Estate is an all in one retreat for the corporate owner of Harmony Products; a company based in Virginia Beach, VA that distributes fertilizers and other products to the golf course business. Set in a basin between two mountains approximately 10 miles from the Greenbrier Resort, Harmony Mountain Estate is an outdoorsman’s sanctuary containing opportunities for hunting, fishing, golf, hiking, and general relaxation. The Golf Course at Harmony is a very basic three hole matrix layout that can be played forward and in reverse – an idea that started while Schulties was working with Sun Microsystems CEO Scott McNealy on his personal golf course plans. Harmony Products retained Schulties to design and then construct the short course in the fall of 2001.
