About The Architect

A new, stand-alone course design 35 minutes south of San Jose. Schulties designed the original 18-hole layout, which opened in 1996, while employed with Couples/Bates Design. The club has received a 4 1/2-star rating from Golf Digest and is the home of the PGA Tour’s Stage-One Qualifying event. Owner Nikko Capital Corp. has brought back the original architectural team to develop the second 18 hole golf course – a Couples/Bates/Schulties design. The course will be cut out of former cattle-grazing grounds in the majestic California hillsides.
